This is an interesting idea; but, it could ruin the fun. After all,
when a "hot flamewar" is in progress everyone is supposed to act like it's
deadly serious. The casual lurker, properly, will be shocked and all
perusers of the flame posts will, for a time, be convinced that this side
or the other is dishing out dreadful punishment.

The moment anyone steps back and looks at the "horrible damages",
illegalities, intrigues, slights, affronts, etc. fueling the flames, it
becomes all too obvious that, in general, very little of great importance
is at issue.

Wolf-3D is a good example. In fact, practically every Apple II user
wishes Sheppy, Bill, Harold, and the rest of the development team success
with the project. (Indeed, it seems a shame that such a fine GS game will,
evidently, be released as freeware. It is much easier to give if, once in
a while, you get _paid_ for good work.)

Meanwhile, the Wolf-3D epic has provoked untold hours of debate and
speculation. Were we to start organizing and labeling flame posts much of
the drama and passion would be lost. It would spoil the game.
