My reply: Marvin, I'd be VERY surprised also! Perhaps if enough of the 
new Apple IIe clones from a third party are sold to the public, then 
Apple Computer, Inc. might have an interest in licensing the IIgs 
architecture to some 3rd party manufacturer also.

Concerning Mr. Santoro's historical comments as you mentioned - about 
the IIgs and IIe - well that's history now and I'm discussing the future 
- not the past. With the current state of things now, with respect to 
the Apple II platform and its users, anything is possible!

BTW - How about the interest you expressed concerning a project to get 
old abandoned Apple II/IIgs software reclassified as; freeware, 
shareware or public domain by the copyright holders? I'm ready to take 
on such a project with you. Please contact me about it - so we can get 
started!
