CoolWriter 3.0 seems to use 3K of direct page space (i.e. 3k in Bank
0).

In an email Gareth Jones pointed out that CoolWriter and similar Text
editor programs do not quite qualify as "word processors" because they do
not permit changing the 'Ruler' (margins, etc.) whenever you like in a
document.

Perhaps in-document margin, tab, etc. changes might be implemented.
The first release of a significantly more compact super-res wp may offer
some new features (like SoftDisk-Text compatibility) but may not offer all
the features listed for the current AppleWorks-GS.

Designers of a new wp do enjoy several advantages vis-a-vis the
original Awks-GS developers. Of these, the most significant is having a
better GS. Thanks to the general machine upgrading of recent years, they
can design Awks-GS 2.0 to run exclusively from hard disk. This factor,
alone, promotes more compact, more reliable, less memory-intensive
function modules.
