Re: A "NEW" old AppleII/e User with lots of questions ...
I found a decent ftp site for Apple II shareware at a site at Cal Tech
(California Technical Institute I believe the full name is). They had
"shrink-it" compression software, and misc. utilities. I have the ftp
address written down at home if you are still looking and I can repost the
specific site tomorrow. As for converting Apple disks to DOS formats, I
once saw a program that was written in "Quick Basic" for DOS, which was
some type of file converter, but I don't know how well it worked. If you
had a Macintosh computer you could convert those files no problem. But
just between the Apple and PC, the only easy way I can think of off hand
would be to upload the files with one computer and download them back down
with the other through your mail server.
Ich hoffe alles geht gut mit Deinen "neue" Apple II !
