Around 1987 or so, there was a program for PC's called "Apple
Turnover". It came with a special disk controller board that enabled
PC's to read/write Apple II 5.25" disks.
There were also Apple II cards for PC (Quadram?) as well as PC cards
for Apple II's (Applied Engineering?); these *might* have allowed
cross-platform disk access, although I am not positive.
I haven't seen any of these in *years* though.
