According to a friend of mine who has done this, you also need special
software which runs on the Apple III, and to use it you need to put the
Apple III ProFile controller in a specific slot (he thinks it was slot
4).
Also note that different formatting software is required for 5MB and
10MB ProFiles. (I'm not sure whether this affects the replacement
processor/ROM which goes in the ProFile, the Apple III host software, or
both.)
