Yep, you are right. With a little further experimentation, it
seems to put the temp files in the directory in which you lauched
the program (I'm running the ORCA shell). The GS port of djpeg
uses the ANSI C tmpfile() function to open temporary files (the
source includes memory handlers using other schemes as well).
