If you are familiar with downloading software from the Internet
then you have some options. There are two main ftp software
archives for Apple II/IIgs software. They are:
ground.isca.uiowa.edu
apple2.caltech.edu
Also, you should get a copy of the Apple II FAQ file. It is posted
at the beginning of each month on the newsgroup comp.sys.apple2.
This will tell you everything you need to know.
There is also a copy of the FAQ on Nathan Mates' web page. But, I
don't have the URL with me.
Also, there are two vendors which would be excellent sources of
both help and software: Shareware Solutions II (Joe Kohn) and
EGO Systems (Steve Disbrow). Again, the address info for these
vendors can be found in the FAQ.
Also, if you follow up with more questions to comp.sys.apple2 you
should include information about the IIgs hardware setup....
ROM 01 or ROM 3, memory, system software version, peripherals,
hard drive?, expansion cards, etc.... This will help others
to better help you.
Good luck,
Paul.
