In the pics, it is hard to see some of the detail that you see in
person. The 15" LCD is noticeably better.

Yes, you need to see the links I posted earlier for the 17" LCD.
Again, the 15" LCD is noticeably better, so I'm not going to take more
pics. With the current setup, the GS/OS desktop at SHR is actually the
worst. All other modes look very good. As MJM explained, this is due
to SHR using a non-standard scan frequency.

I think we've pretty much exhausted this topic. In summary, IMO this
particular scan doubler does a very good job for the price. Especially
with the proper resolution display and some tweaking of settings. I
think I've posted enough information and pictures for anyone else to
make their own judgement as to whether it suits their needs.
