You might want to get a book on CP/M, and hang out in places like
comp.os.cpm, to get some idea what CP/M is all about. It has some
similarities to MS-DOS on the PC. In fact, DOS 1 was very similar to
CP/M.
My letter years on the Apple at school were spent running CP/M for
programming in Turbo Pascal. :-)
