Yes, I think this is the way to go. Even if the owners of the copyright do
not want to renounce their rights, they may choose to sell it again if
enough people ask for it.

Nothing to add! I won't call the cops when I see a kid copying some disks
in the school. I would prefer to appeal to their reason. I do still believe
that MOST people still have any.

If and only if people BUY the games which they like and keep their copies
mainly for backup purposes, laws will eventually become useless and
programs will be something similar to shareware. It is extremely important
to change the attitude of the pirates. But you can't do that if you
threaten or insult them!
