   I pretty much can't use a CD player on a computer that's not
running linux to play things. When programming, I'll break enough
things to require a reboot every little bit, especially on my GS
(well, Windoze 95 at work wants a reboot every few hours programming
or not), which interrupts CD playback. Linux (and other unix variants)
is cool enough to kill off programs that are trying to misbehave, so
it's been up for weeks at a time without a reboot. [I do occasioally
switch back to DOS for Duke Nukem 3D and such, which is why it's not
up for months at a time.]

   Besides, I'm lazy and dislike flipping CDs every hour. Thus, I've
got a 5 CD changer next to my computer, that I can just load up and let
it play for a long time. [And with a few hundred CDs at home, I'd have
to get several of those 100+1 changers to store my whole collection,
which'd be a waste]
