   Correct, it's a GS/OS system loader problem. The spectrum file is
probably corrupted. I'd recommend checking over the disk with a disk
verification program (ProSEL or Salvation) to see if it's in order or
not. The Finder's verify only makes sure that either (1) all of the
files can be read or (2) all of the blocks can be read.

   Try copying off the Spectrum program file from those disks to the
right directory. As long as the installer doesn't do anything funky,
that should work.

   Failing that, the system loader itself might be messed up. A GS/OS
reinstall might be in order.
