    Well, I've used jepGS 1.1 with a 15 MHz accelerator, it's still
rather slow whether converting down to 4-bit color or greyscale. It
is, I'll admit, much faster than the older version, but I find "JPEG 
View" the most ideal viewer when I need to convert a JPEG. Too bad
images can't be decompressed and viewed as quickly as 'qpv' on a
Pentium-based PC. ;-)
