   Try treading Stephen Donaldson's CDRom FAQ for Apple IIs, which
is  on the WWW at http://www.visi.com/~nathan/a2/faq/cdrom.html

   Short answer: you can plug speakers/headphones into certain drives
and tell them to start playing with the right drivers. If you're
lucky, you might be able plug that into your sound card's input and
play back, but I don't know of any programs that support that.
