       I also have a problem reading ProDos disks on a MAC.

   I ran Apple File Exchange on 5-1/4 disk formated using
   Appleworks on an apple 2c+. I wrote the file on the disk
   in text format using the print option of Appleworks. On a
   MAC IIci running System Software 7.5, AFE tells me that
   it "cannot read this disk. Do you wish to initialize it?"
   The ProDos choice is in this window is grayed out.
   
    PC Exchange, which I also tried, does not make any 
    effort to read the 5-1/4 disk. AFE causes the disk
    usage light to turn bright and the flicker as it waits for
    me to eject it. PC/E does absolutely nothing with the
    disk.

    A clue to either one of these problems would be appreiciated.
    To get AFE to accept the Appleworks ProDos disk or to get
    PC/E to acknowledge the 5-1/4. I wish my Apple 2c+ would
    have a 3-1/2, but unfortunately it does not. Thanks for any help.
