In reality, Visicalc made sales of the Apple // skyrocket, and it was
businesses that were buying them.  Visicalc became the first "best seller"
software, followed later by AppleWorks which sold more copies per year
than Visicalc's successors and all other software packages on IBM for
several years (at least 5) in a row.
