Re: I love my Apple II

Neat stuff Cyrus! I admit I ramble on about some of the stuff I
have fun with hacking on my Apple IIs (at home and at work), but
I really feel like an amateur sometimes knowing there are quite a few other
folks out there doing really neat things with their computers (and
not just Apple IIs). In another lab where I work there's another
Apple II hacker who's a master and digital signal acquisition and
processing. It's fascinating some of the stuff he comes up with, and
most of it a HECK of a lot more sophisticated than my stuff. One of the
cuter setups he had was controlling an external data logger using
AppleWorks and TimeOut Telecomm :) He used Telecomm to program the
logger and to retrieve the data from it straight into an AppleWorks
spread sheet. I'll be working with him in a few weeks interfacing
and Apple IIGS to a system being run by a PIC chip. The code we
develop on the GS will eventually reside on the PIC and it'll operate
on it's own.

Fun stuff :)
