I had (have?) one of these. They send out ultrasonic signals via a
transducer (speaker). The old (brown) max-controller picked these up
and sent them out. I might be able to dig these up if there really is
any interest. My old max-controller has a half broken keypad, but
picks up the US just fine (last time I tried). The board did some
other stuff too (Serial port plus ??? ) It was a pretty big board.
