Re: How do I find out about Apple II plus RAM upgrading?

The II+, IIe, and IIgs use completely different memory cards. The II+
memory organization is =completely= different from the memory organization
on the IIe, and even if you get more RAM in your II+ you still will not be
able to run programs that require 128K.

The only program that I know of that actually uses more than 64K of main
memory RAM on a II+ is Diversi-Copy.

Having said that, there were larger RAM cards made for the II+, in 32K, 64K
and 128K sizes. They plug into slot 0 just like your 16K card does. My
II+ has a 128K card for a total of 176K or RAM. It is very useful for
making multiple disk copies with Diversi-Copy but has no other use.

If you're wanting to use software that requires 128K, your best bet is to
buy a IIe. I saw somebody here a couple of days ago advertising IIe's for
$20.
