Stuff that uses the joystick port in BASIC is pretty easy.  Or better
still, use the 16-pin internal joystick (or, paddle, if ya want)
socket.

The 16-pin paddle socket's POKEs and PEEKs from -16296(?) to
-16284(?), coupled with BASIC's PDL commands can be a powerful combo
for sensing and controlling external stuff.
