     A II+, IIe, etc. can do a pretty good job of reproducing some complex
sounds. The "thonk" used for prompting in the Koala Micro-Illustrator is
an example of a sound that would make a neat 'system beep'.

     You can find some interesting sound effects routines by interrupting
execution of programs, going to the monitor, and hunting for references to
$C030.
