Apple II disks are usually in DiskCopy format on the Mac side. You can get Disk
Copy from the Apple ftp site if it's not already part of your system disks
(dunno). make sure you save them as uncompressed disk image files.
Of course, you can also use 3.5" disks directly with All Major Current and
Upcoming Emulators.
