I'm too lazy to read back through this thread and see who asked me to
try 640x480 again. I just did and I can't tell any difference.
However, on the theory that scan doubling the IIgs display is close to
640x480, I'm going to leave it there and let the LCD upscale to its
native resolution.
One setting that does make a big difference is "Clock". This is on the
menu of my LCD. After setting the converter board resolution,
position, size, etc., I used the "Auto" function on the LCD. This sets
the LCD to what it thinks is the best settings, given the current
input signal. I found that bumping the "Clock" setting one notch up or
down makes the text much more readable than what "Auto" gives me. Some
LCD displays will probably label this "Pixel Clock".
