(Note: The article in SSII that Dave Stephens mentions was written
not by me but by Steve Disbrow.)

I'm thinking about a follow-up for the next issue, with even more
information about CD-ROMs for the IIGS. As it turns out, Steve
Disbrow's article about CD-ROMs and the GS was excellent, and it
contained a lot of great information. But, I think there's still
some more that can be said on the subject.

If nothing else, I'm thinking about presenting a list of SCSI-2
CD-ROM drives that have been tested with Sequential's SCSI-2 drivers,
and I'm thinking about having a blurb about discQuest, and how and
where to get discQuest titles dirt-cheap. The last thing I'm
considering is presenting info on how to use other types of CD-ROMs
with the GS. Then again, I'm also thinking about having an article on
'everything you ever wanted to know about SCSI and the Apple II.'

Let me know if you think those kinds of articles would be useful.

In any case, I hope that by including that "Note From Joe" at the end
of Steve's article that it was obvious that I disagreed with just one
small point he made...

After all, I have an Apple High-Speed SCSI card, and although it may
be slower than the RamFast, it works just fine with the dirt-cheap 1x
$39 CD-ROM drive that I have here. That said...it works even better
with the dirt-cheap 2x $69 CD-ROM that I have here, and that you too
can have if you contact the company listed on Page 3 of the latest
SSII.
