I had a similar problem with my CP/M card on the //e when I
first switched over from my ][+ too. I had a MicroSoft Z80
card. What I tried was changing the switch settings on the
card after writing down how they were originally set. For
some reason totally unknown to me (ie: this has absolutely
no basis in electronics) the thing worked fine after trying
several settings changes. I took it as one or more of the
switches simply needed to be moved so their connections
were good again.
So, for what it's worth (which isn't much), try changing
the dip switch settings. But be sure to write down how the
switches were before you start so you can get back to where
you were. Or! If you don't want to leave them in some
strange configuration - try switching them back and forth
so their connections are re-established.
