Have you tried installing GS/OS in the RAMKeeper's ROM Disk, and then 
booting up from that?  You will always want a back up of your OS setup on 
hand, just in case, natch.  

You'll also need a fair amout of RAM if you 
are going to use both the ROM Disk and any substantial amout of RAM for 
applications... 6MB at the minimum (2-3 MB for a disk with a relatively 
loaded 6.0.1, and then you'll still want as close to standard 4MB as 
possible for running stuff like Appleworks).  Of course, nice thing about 
RAMKeeper is that it allows you to have up to 14 MB of memory! 8-)  (The 
docs say 16, and I've never tried that much.  Only 8 megs are really 
useful and recognized directly by the GS.  16megs is the limit of the 
processor, *however*, I think that the practical limit for a RAMKeeper 
expanded memory would be 14 megs, depending on what ROM you have... ROM & 
areas protected for ROM, video, etc, take up space too... I think about 
2MB.  Thus, only 14 would be useful, but you'd have to use anything over 
8 solely for a RAM/ROM disk unless you've got a program smart enough to 
look for memory there.  Graphic WriterIII???)
