A bunch of people have already stated that high density 5.25 disks
cannot be used on standard Apple II drives but I thought I might
mention another alternative.

The BlueDisk disk drive controller card specifications that I have
state that it can be used to control IBM High Density 5.25 drives
which would allow you to use HD 5.25 disks with an Apple II. Whether
this actually works, I don't know because I don't own a BlueDisk card
yet.

Mind you, this isn't the cheapest route to take. It would still be
cheaper just to buy single or double density disks and forget about
those high density ones you've got.
