HELP PLAYING APPLE II GAMES ON IBM PLEASE!

I have been trying to play several Apple II games on my IBM as I no longer
have my apple II. Here is what ive done so far.

I downloaded aplemu-3.zip from asimov.net. It had a full set of source
code and
a single APPLE.EXE. When I run it, the screen goes black and I get an
Apple II
prompt. I did a CATALOG and got a list of four programs, including COPYII
PlUS
3.0. But it never accessed the floppy drive, so it seems to be using a
file called
SYSTEM.DSK as the disk image for accessing files.

I downloaded several old adventure games, one of which was multi disk, and
these
came over as .gz files. My first problem is that I can't find the GNU
unzip program
for the PC to see what kind of file they really are. My second problem is
how do
I run the programs in a different disk image (assuming these gz files
contain disk
images). On the Apple II, you used to just boot the disk and the game
would
launch.

Can You offer me some assistance.

Thanks

Corey
