How to make disc images?

	Greetings everyone,

At this moment, I am looking for a utility for the //e to make
images of 5 1/4" 140K discs, in DOS 3.3, ProDOS and nibble order.

Having come across emulators like IIe, I have revived my dreams
of using 6502 software on my Mac. I had given them up earlier, after
years of fruitless search for Apple's //e card.

	Currently, I own 2 systems:

	i)	Apple //e, with amber monitor, Super Serial Card, 2 Disk
IIs, Z-80 Softcard, Thunderclock, Z Meg (if I got the name right) 80-col.
card with 1 MB RAM, Apple 3.5" Drive Card, 2 800K drives etc., and

ii)	Mac LC III 12/700 (see .sig), with standard 13" colour
monitor, standard keyboard+mouse, 3x speed CD-ROM player (NEC CDR-500)
and SyQuest SQ3105.

The machines share an ImageWriter II; the DWP is now in the loft.

I can use ProDOS 1.9x and copy ][+ 8.2 on the //e, and have
experience with MacCompress, MacGzip, MacUUcode, Mpack, ShrinkWrap, StuffIt
Expander, StuffIt Lite, UUCat etc. on my Mac. I have already transferred
my AW 3.0 files to ClarisWorks 4.0.

Having read the c.e.apple2 FAQ, I looked for DSK2FILE v3.0 at
cassandra.ucr.edu, but to no avail :-(. Does anyone know what it does,
and how to obtain it?

Anyone with a story to tell about emulators, FTP sites, utilities
etc. is welcome to e-mail me :-). Above all, I would greatly appreciate
tips on how to start using disc images, (de)compression, encoding and
decoding.

	Yours sincerely,
