"Summer II Alive" is the Summer Issue of II Alive, an Apple II
magazine published quarterly by Scantron Quality Computers. The masthead
lists 800-777-3642 as the number to call for a subscription ($19.95/yr). I
do not know whether II Alive is currently accepting new subscriptions. SQC
also publishes an A2 mini-catalog called "Nothing But Apples" 3-4 times a
year. You can order it at the number listed above.
Besides mentioning Nathan's bug-busting efforts, the II Alive issue
also listed and described several A2 information resources. Following is
a list of some publications mentioned with much-compressed descriptions
(prices are for USA; some may have changed):
Apple Blossom: bi-monthly newsletter; $12/yr
(Steve Cavanaugh steve1021@aol.com)
The Applebyter: monthly newsletter; $15/yr
(Nancy Crawford nancy.crawford@sic.davenport.ia.us)
AppleWorks Gazette: bi-monthly newsletter on-disk; $35/yr
(Howard Katz h.katz@genie.com)
Dark Castle: quarterly magazine; $25/yr
(Doede Boomsma dboomsma@sci.kun.nl)
Genie Lamp Apple II: on-line monthly zine
(Douglas Cuff gopher://gopher.genie.com/11/magazines)
GS World View: on-line continual-update zine
(Charles Turley http://www.wco.com/~3d5d1wsw/gszine/)
Juiced.GS: quarterly magazine; $14/yr
(Max Jones m.jones145@genie.com)
Shareware Solutions II: bi-monthly newsletter; $25/yr
(Joe Kohn joko@crl.com)
SoftDisk-GS: monthly on-disk magazine $89.95/yr, $49.95/6-mo
(Softdisk softdisk.inc@genie.com or 800-584-7638)
Note: The terms "newsletter" and "magazine" are, chiefly,
self-descriptions from the publications. Today, A2 print publications are,
generally, larger (in terms of page count and content) than a typical
newsletter and smaller than a typical magazine.
Note: Dark Castle, Juiced.GS, and Shareware Solutions II also offer subs
for "library disks", "collections", or "disk of the month".
