The problem with Allison crashing during long sessions is not a
problem with the software, it's a problem with the board.  There is
nothing you can do about, either.  What happens is simple:  Because of
noise generated by the board, one or more of the 64k buffers the
program allocates for capture get over written.  You can see this best
when you digitize in Monochrome full-screen mode continuously.  If you
are digitizing from tape, hit pause (if your VCR has a stable pause
feature).  Repeat this several times and you'll see that eventually,
the picture won't be monochrome.  It'll be there, but palette ram will
be overwritten.  Ain't nuffin' you can do about it, bra.
