Dave,
When you first start up your computer, hold down the optioni key
(closed apple) and you'll automatically be brought into the //GS' control
panel. Everything there is keyboard-driven with the arrow keys and return
key. Hightlight the Speed or system speed, or whatever (it's been a
couple of years now) and hit return. A right arrow or down arrow should
change the setting back to 1 Mhz.
Alternatively, if you have already booted the computer into the
Finder or Pro-Sel or something, then pressing and holding Command-Control
(Or, if you prefer, Open-Apple-Control) and then pressing and releasing
the Escape key before releasing the other two keys will bring you to the
Control panel, too.
