ROM 03 IIGS --- compatibility questions

I just got a ROM 03 IIGS!

GHreat graphics, but these problems:

1) It wont recognize the MOUSE on 8-bit mouse-controlled software like
coy II plus v.9.1., or Bankl Street Writer Plus.   (Could I use a IIe
mouse card and mouse in slot 4???)

2) I use two Disk II drives with Disk II interface card in Slot 6.
But the Rom 03 will read, not write, to these drives.

(It works normally with Platinim 5.25 daisy-chained after the 3.5 drives
from Smartport).


Also, can anyone send me a list of other known incompatibilities 
for IIgs Rom 03?
