        Sounds like a cable to go to a serial interface card.

        Ah!  It's a serial interface card, based on the 8250 of IBM PC
(in)fame!  This from the "8250" above <grins).  The 2716 is the firmware
for the card, and the "924" is most likely an addressing PAL for the card.

        Never heard of it before, but at least it makes sense ... <B-)
