I suppose that there are advantages and/or disadvantages to each method.
When using Telnet to access ground, the option to display new files
since such-and-such a date is a nice feature.
FTP? A few years ago, when ftp was the only way to download files, ncftp
came along and saved a few keystrokes and made ftp just a little more
convenient to use. But, in this day and age when you can access ground
and/or liquify using the world wide web, going back to ftp or even ncftp
is, errr, IMHO, torture.
The Web - The easiest way to download.
So, as far as I'm concerned, the only real choice to make is whether to
use the web to access liquify or ground. I like the search engine at
liquify. Ahhh...I have a solution. I've added both liquify and ground to
my bookmark file. There's nothing like having the best of both worlds.
Thanks, Steve, for all the work you've done for us in maintaining
ground.
