If the monitor is an Amdek Color-1 or other composite color monitor
in good condition, you can get $30-$50 for the monitor alone at an Apple
II or C-64 swap meet.
A 64K II+ in good working condition with Disk II drive will sell for
$20-$50-- a lot depends upon condition & appearance and upon meeting the
right shopper. For example, someone interested in high compatibility with
pre-'84 wares or in experimenting with hardware/firmware mods or in
cracking protection on old wares or in finding replacement parts (like a
KB or power supply) will be especially interested in a II+. Other shoppers
will appreciate owning a piece of 'personal computing history'.
A monochrome monitor is not a whole lot-- mainly, II users like to
see games in color. If it is fairly compact and can display 80-column text
clearly, a B/W monitor may go for $10-$15. Amber is about the same. Green
might go for $5-$10. (A very compact monitor with a sharp display is worth
more.) A monochrome monitor which cannot display 80-column text is just
about worthless.
An old dot matrix printer (like an Epson MX-80) is, for most
shoppers, not worth the space it occupies. Certainly, it is not worth the
cost of shipping. If your II+ is set up to work well with the printer, you
_might_ get a better price for the II+ & Disk II at a swap meet if the
printer is included "free". Be careful how much heavy stuff is bundled
with the computer. 'Meet shoppers like to be able to carry away purchases
without a lot of bother.
Unless there is something especially neat about the printer, if you
can get $10, take it.
The more associated stuff (like manuals, diskettes, cables, ...) you
include with the II+, the better the price. If the II+ includes a
MockingBoard, pull it and sell it separately.
