Assuming that you are referring to plug in boards, they should be stored
in antistatic bags, preferrably the ones with cushion bubbles.  This
will prevent (or reduce) damage.  Don't use standard bubble wrap, it isn't
antistatic, and may actually build up static enough to damage IC's.
