ProTERM 3.1 is EXACTLY the right kind of software.  Make sure that she has 
an enhanced IIe and at least 128K of RAM. She'll need a serial card and an 
external modem, and then she's ready to get online.  With the right 
provider, she can even do (non-graphical) Web browsing.
