DuoDisk hardware mod for GS/Daisychain?

All,

I seem to remember that early DuoDisks required a resistor to be
snipped off before it would work properly with a GS or in a Daisy
chain. I even remember reading about the mod in a Faq or something,
but now I can't seem to locate it.

Does anyone know where the file that lists the modification is
located? TIA
