There seems to be a contradiction in your description.  If I read you
right, then files less than 50176 bytes are fine, but it is not clear
whether the transfer aborts at that point, or if it hangs 150 bytes before
the end of the transfer.  What would happen with a 100K file, for example?

A few things to try: upload to another BBS, upload with different
communications software and the same protocol, upload with a different
communications protocol (e.g. YModem instead of ZModem).  Which protocol
are you using now?
