No, I don't recall any further information, other than the name of the
program - AppleScanGS.
As far as I know, it only works with Apple scanners (it was written for
the original Apple Flatbed scanner, but might also work with later ones),
and requires an Apple SCSI card with the SCSI Scanner driver installed (it
is on the installation disks).
AppleScanGS doesn't have a "save" command, but full source code is
included if someone was going to add this feature (there is a catch: a
derivative program cannot be distributed without appropriate licensing
from Apple, which is not likely to be available, since the original was
never a finished product).
