This has been discussed in another thread (which I haven't seen all of: it
sounds like the hard drive was set to the same SCSI ID as the Apple
High-Speed SCSI card, causing it to appear at all seven available SCSI
IDs).

This is not necessary in most cases.  The RamFast uses the same
partitioning scheme as the Apple SCSI cards (and the Macintosh).  There
are minor variations between the systems, but the fundamental partitiong
scheme is the same.

The RamFast does store some extra information in an unused area of the
first physical block of the drive (this block is not used on an Apple II,
and is only used on the Mac to locate the device driver), but this is
completely ignored by an Apple SCSI card.
