.shk would be better. That way, people without enough memory to run
Finder, GS/OS, etc (indeed, people who don't HAVE system disks and need
to use Prodos8 to download & extract the GS System disks as well...
and don't think it doesn't happen; I was one of these folks) can still
use the disk images.
compressing the 800k disk images and distributing them as shrinkit
archives that aren't self extracting really is the best idea. That's
(shrinkit) what everyone has, it's what everyone else uses to distribute
their software on the internet, it's easy, and it's II.
