   In the rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated, the computer program
handling the moderation allows posts to get through almost immediately
if you're on the 'automoderated' list-- the moderators have decided
that that person posts reasonably often enough, so their posts are
approved automatically. (Should they abuse that, they can be moved to
handmod)

   Distribution can appear slower to individual posters-- when
unmoderated, news posts go to your local news server, and spread out
over usenet from there. When moderated, it spreads out from the
_moderator_'s server. Thus, it may take some time to get back to your
box, but others can see it fine in the meantime.

   Overall, I think if anything, comp.sys.apple2.moderated would be
created; c.s.a2 would remain as is. You could always post to both
places.
