The 3.5" drive option is better. ADT was written for the PC. Also,
it deals only with disk images. You can use the 3.5" drive to transfer
document files (via ProDOS) to the Mac, in case you ever need to.
 
The drive enhances the //e as well. While you can connect a modem with
a SSC, the limited storage space of the 5.25" drive would make
downloading most files impossible. Overall, the drive is more useful.
