Well, winternet has been the subject of a hostile business takeover,
which is kinda like a system breakin by a bunch of malicious crackers,
but you don't have the legal authority to go kick their ****s when
they put the system on an express elevator to hell. {Bonus points
for recognizing the reference :}

   If anyone's send me email over the past week and it hasn't gotten
any kind of response, it probably got lost somewhere in the internet
and isn't going to survive. My Caltech address is still valid for a

'nathan@ugcs.caltech.edu'.  I'm working on getting a permanent and
