This is good, because it benefits everyone including those posters when they
post things as correct, readable, and thoughtful as possible. It makes them
look more professional, and it encourages unfettered discussion.

Let's get real here, shall we? You're obviously writing this because you
wish to dump on Nathan for being a "bad man" and hurting the feelings of
the Apple II "community" (such as it is). But of course, admission of such
would make you a "bad man" also via your own definition, and therein lies the
road to hypocrisy.

Look. I've said it before, I'll say it again. USENET has standards. It
has them for a good reason - bad spelling or grammar, bad quoting style
(attn: A. Goertz), long .signatures (Tigh Buckles), and other maladies serve
only to promote miscommunication. And miscommunication on a communications
network is something of a disaster, don't you think?

You seem to be laboring under the misconception that Nathan's corrections
are personal attacks. Only in the case of people (Goertz again) who have
refused to clean up their act have things become somewhat personal. Just
because Nathan has high standards both for himself and those around him
does not make him bad, despite what modern socialist dogma would love you
to believe. Sure, this may cause people's feelings to get hurt. I have
news for these people: it's a computer network. If you have deep
emotional changes caused by USENET, maybe you need to get out more.
