GUPP 1.01 Released- Fixes GNO 2.0.4, Pointless

Ok, despite releasing version roughly 24 hours ago, I'm back with more
patches. The most important is a memory-trashing bug that occurs in
the GNO/ME 2.0.4 and 2.0.6 beta kernel series. [Probably earlier
kernel versions as well, but I don't have those and you should take
advantage of the free upgrade to 2.0.4] Some memory is inadvertantly
zapped when the Finder launches programs under GNO, and almost
definitely at other times. (Essentially on any DelNotifyProc GS/OS
call). GUPP 1.01 fixes that in the 2.0.4 kernel as well as the 3/12/96
2.0.6 beta. Bug reports have been provided to Derek Taubert, who
should fix this for the 2.0.6 release.

Essentially, if you're running the GNO/ME 2.0.4 kernel, I strongly
urge you to install GUPP 1.01.

Also added is a patch to Pointless 2.0.3 to prevent it from writing
to memory it just deallocated. Not a serious bug (odds of someone else
getting that memory is _very_ slim) at all, but that was begging for a
fix.

Finally, should you have the clue and skills to install it (tip:
change filetype) is a GS/OS experimental patch. It prevents GS/OS from
writing out to buffers it just deallocated by invalidating some
outdated pointers on its global page after deallocations. This works
just fine for me, but I'd still consider this experimental. Thus, you
need a clue to install and run it. If you choose to do so, please
email me if it runs correctly.

All of the previous patches in GUPP 1.0 (System 6.0.1, etc) are
still in GUPP 1.0.1, so just install the GUPP file over the older
version.
