Take a look at the online list of Apple II BBSs:

You'll have to take a look at it and see which, if any are local
to you.

Yes, it's called unix and ProTERM 3.1. Use ProTERM 3.1 to dial
up an internet service provider that supports shell access and
run from there. Very nice setup, that.

For general questions and the like, comp.sys.apple2 is a good
